ELKHART — Danny Davis, 55, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at Memorial Southlake Hospital in Merrillville following a brief illness on Friday, Nov. 24, 2017.

He was born Nov. 10, 1962, in Mishawaka, to the late Tommy Dean Davis and Helen (Damouth) Davis of Elkhart.

Also surviving are his sisters, Sandra and Stacy Davis of Elkhart and brother Roman Davis of Elkhart; niece and nephew Ciara Ramirez and James Barrick, and great-niece and nephew, Breanna and Austin Davis.

Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart is honored to host a gathering of family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29.

In accordance with his wishes, no other services have been planned and cremation will follow the visitation.

Danny worked many years as a tow motor operator and production worker, but his real love was singing.

He was absolutely devoted to karaoke, and his singing talent combined with his love of Elvis Presley drew crowds wherever he went.

He also would often take his singing skills to local nursing and retirement homes and entertain the residents there as well.

When he wasn't singing, he enjoyed attending turkey shoots and taking his nieces and nephews on rides on his Harley.

He was also an U.S. Army veteran who served as a communications specialist in Germany.

Memorial donations may be given to the United Cancer Services of Elkhart County.
