Obituary
ELKHART — Terry L. Scherer, 62, of Elkhart, passed away at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, at his home.
He was born June 29, 1952, in South Bend to the late Wayne and Dolores May (Wegner) Scherer.
Surviving are his daughter, Lyndzi Scherer of Elkhart; brothers Bill (Pam) Scherer of Syracuse and Mike (Kathy) Scherer of Bristol; and grandchildren Brody Majewski and Hailey Barnard.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Lori Kramer.
Terry worked in sales in the local RV industry for many years. He was outgoing and friendly, and was best known for living life to the fullest and spending time with his circle of friends. He also served in the military police in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
A graveside service will at at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at the Veteran's Towers in Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart. The U.S. Army Funeral Honor Guard and Elkhart DAV Chapter 19 will render military graveside honors.
Memorial donations may be given to the Terry Scherer Memorial Fund c/o Billings Funeral Home.
Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting the family with arrangements.
