GOSHEN -- Terry Roderick "Rick" McLaughlin, 46, of Goshen, passed away at 9:22 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 24, 2010) at Goshen General Hospital.
He was born April 24, 1964, in Wabash to Terry L. and Marcy D. (Filbrun) Miller.
Survivors include his daughter, Crystal L. McLaughlin of Santa Clarita, Calif.; mother Marcy (David) Miller of Elkhart; father Terry L. (Rebecca) McLaughlin of Missouri; two brothers, Matthew K. McLaughlin of Elkhart and Jason G. McLaughlin of Three Rivers, Mich.; sister Julie G. Rousseau of Edwardsburg, Mich.; granddaughter Kaylah Maree Brown of Santa Clarita; and five nieces and nephews.
Rick was a 1982 graduate of Central High School. He was formerly employed with Syndicate Systems Inc. in Middlebury. In addition to being an avid martial arts enthusiast, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching movies and listening to rock 'n' roll.
A gathering of family and friends will take place an hour prior to the 2 p.m. memorial service on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Terry R. McLaughlin Memorial Fund c/o Billings Funeral Home.
