BRADENTON, Fla. -- Terry Dale Marra, 64, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Elkhart, Ind., died at 1:48 p.m. Tuesday (June 24, 2008) at home after an extended illness.
He was born on April 12, 1944, to Howard and Edith (Cullip) Marra in Elkhart. He married Gloria Jean Chris on Jan. 26, 1968, in Elkhart. She died on Dec. 16, 1997, in Elkhart.
Surviving are one son, Mark C. (Jill) of Sarasota; three stepdaughters, Laura Kay (Mike) Painter of Buchanan, Mich., Lisa Smoker of Goshen, Ind., and Cathy (Jeff) Willard of Nappanee, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and his mother of Bradenton. He was preceded in eath by one brother, Dave.
A private family visitation will occur prior to the 2 p.m. graveside service Wednesday at Rice Cemetery. Friends are invited to go directly to the cemetery for the service. Billings Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Marra was a former co-owner of Elk Vans in Elkhart. He moved to Florida after his wife's death and was a service writer for a recreational vehicle dealer. He was a graduate of Elkhart High School.
