Terry L. Hoeksema, 68, of Elkhart, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Elkhart General Hospital.

Terry was born on March 18, 1957 in Elkhart, IN to the late, Kenneth A. and Barbara Jane (Simons) Hoeksema. Terry is married to the love of his life, Sylvia (Borrero) Hoeksema on in March of 2000.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Terry is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sylvia Hoeksema of Elkhart; children, Shameka Null and Raymon S. Maldonado; and beloved grandchildren, Kennedy T. Null and Madison N. Null.

Terry graduated from Concord High School in 1975. He was employed as a truck driver with LE Johnson Products and previously worked for Yoder Oil Company.

Terry enjoyed attending rock concerts with his wife, Sylvia, and treasured the many memories they made together over the years.

An avid outdoorsman, he found great pleasure in fishing and camping.

He especially loved spending time with his granddaughters, often spoiling them with trips to amusement parks. Sunday drives with his wife, Sylvia, were among his favorite pastimes.

Though quiet in nature, Terry possessed a wonderful sense of humor and will be remembered for his gentle spirit and deep devotion to his family.

A Celebration of Life for Terry will be held at a later date.
