Terry Allen Bowen, 57, of Elkhart, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Esther's House in Elkhart, IN. He was born in Elkhart on October 24, 1968, to the late Wayne M. Bowen and Donna E. (Brodhead) Celestine.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne M. "Skip" Bowen. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Gina Bowen; sister, Gidget Doss; nieces, Lanae (Christopher) Kolanowski, Lakin (Justin) Kemper), and Lindsay Doss; nephew, Brett Horien; and his numerous fuzzy feline children.

In accordance with Terry's wishes, cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart, IN. He will be laid to rest at a later date with his father. Memorial donations may be given to his family, c/o Gina Bowen, to help alleviate funeral expenses.

Terry loved his country and served in the United States Navy. He worked at Canterbury in Goshen for many years and considered them his work family. Terry was briefly a part of the Masonic Order in Elkhart. He was a kind and hard-working man who would give the shirt off his own back to help someone in need. Terry had an energetic spirit and always felt he had an odd job that needed to be accomplished. He was truly a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything.

He had a deep passion for animals, especially cats and kittens. Terry and Gina helped control the cat population by catching and working with Catsnip to spay and neuter ferals. In his spare time, he enjoyed trips to the casino and to local gun shows, since he was an avid collector. Terry will be dearly missed by his loving family and many friends.
