Terri E. Underwood, 57, of Elkhart, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Elkhart Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 28, 1961 in Allegan, MI to Larry A. Underwood and the late Shirley M. (Isbell) Underwood who passed away recently on April 25, 2019.

She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Posey and Sarah Posey; son, Carl Allen Posey; husband of 26 years and partner of 40 years, Carmen R. Posey; brother, Larry Steven Underwood; and seven grandchildren, Madison, Audrey, Joseph, Lillian, Isabelle, Owen, and Savanna. She is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and her sister, Marie Underwood.

A burial will take place at Carleton Cemetery on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Billings Funeral Home and Cremations services have been assisting the family with arrangements.

Terri was a smart, talented, and independent woman. She was a hard worker and worked as general manager for her mother's bar, The Bees 3 in Elkhart, and helped her run the cleaning business as well. One of her greatest passions was gardening and she loved arts and crafts, especially when she could share her passions with her grandchildren.Terri will be missed greatly by her loving family and many friends.
