Teresa Alvarado Flores, 46, of Elkhart, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.

Teresa was born in Puebla MX on October 15, 1978 to Josafat Alvarado Dominguez and Rosa Flores Guevara. She married Armando Reyes Cruz, whom survives.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Rosa.

Teresa is survived by her husband, Armando of Elkhart; sons, Armando Reyes Alvarado (Bryanna), Guadalupe Reyes Alvarado and Yovani Reyes Alvarado; adored grandsons, Armando Reyes and Bryan Reyes; and loving family members in Mexico and in Indiana.

Teresa and Armando are parishioners of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Elkhart for 23 years. Family was everything to Teresa. Whether it was being at the shop to playing with adored grandsons, Teresa was always there. Her smile and positive attitude radiated everywhere she was.

She also enjoyed going to family parties and get togethers and staying active.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, June 20, 2025 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 1108 S. Main Street, Elkhart, IN 46516 with Fr. Eloy Jimenez officiating.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the Mass from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at the church.

Burial will follow at St. Vincent De Paul Cemetery.

Teresa nació en Puebla, México, el 15 de octubre de 1978, hija de Josafat Alvarado Domínguez y Rosa Flores Guevara. Se casó con Armando Reyes Cruz, quien le sobrevive.

A Teresa le sobreviven su esposo, Armando, residente de Elkhart; sus hijos, Armando Reyes Alvarado (Bryanna), Guadalupe Reyes Alvarado y Yovani Reyes Alvarado; sus queridos nietos, Armando Reyes y Bryan Reyes; y sus queridos familiares en México y en Indiana.

Teresa y Armando son feligreses de la Iglesia Católica de San Vicente de Paúl en Elkhart desde hace 23 años. La familia lo era todo para Teresa. Ya fuera en la tienda o jugando con sus queridos nietos, Teresa siempre estaba ahí. Su sonrisa y actitud positiva irradiaban dondequiera que estuviera. También disfrutaba de asistir a fiestas y reuniones familiares, y de mantenerse activa.

La misa de entierro cristiano se celebrará a las 15:00 h del viernes 20 de junio de 2025 en la Iglesia Católica de San Vicente de Paúl, ubicada en 1108 S. Main Street, Elkhart, IN 46516, oficiada por el Padre Eloy Jiménez. El velatorio se realizará una hora antes de la misa, de 14:00 a 15:00 h, en la iglesia. El entierro se realizará posteriormente en el Cementerio de San Vicente de Paúl.
