Obituary
ELKHART - Tedd R. Johnson, 78, of Simonton Lake, passed away Sunday evening, December 13, 2015 at Memorial Hospital of South Bend.
Tedd was born on February 18, 1937 in Elkhart to the late Ernest and Frieda (Fisher) Johnson.
He married the former Sue Ann Bartlett on December 31, 1961 in Elkhart, Sue survives, as well as a daughter Heidi (Mike) Compton and son, Edward (Stacy) Johnson, both of Elkhart; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren; and a sister Christine (Richard) Dufort of Elmhurst, IL
Tedd was the former owner and operator of the Johnson Marina at Simonton lake for 30 years. He enjoyed doing wood projects and built his own home, two times.
Tedd served his country in the United States Air Force from 1955 until his honorable discharge in 1959.
Tedd had a soft spot for all animals, especially his cats. Tedd loved everything about the lake, from boating, to spending time with his family and lake friends. He was a true "lake Person."
A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, December 18, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at the Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart. In keeping with Tedd's wishes, cremation has taken place.
