Tanner W. Swathwood

May 27, 1996---April 18, 2020

Tanner was born May 27, 1995 in Elkhart, Indiana, to Lynn and Susie Swathwood. The baby of the family, he was truly the best summation of his three older siblings and their personalities, Josh (Ashley) Swathwood, Ben (Ashli) Swathwood, and Anndria (Jared) Carnell. The lights of his life were his boys, Jaiden (4), Nolan (3), Zane (1), and Saint who is due in July. Every good decision he made was for them and his partner, Justice, who he loved with his whole heart and planned to marry.

Tanner never met a stranger and could talk to anyone. He loved music and was an armchair rapper—always writing lyrics, loved making music, and would spend hours listening to his favorite songs at home. When he wasn't listening to music, he was with his boys, playing PlayDoh, wrestling, or chasing them around the house.

Tanner was driven and goal-oriented. All he wanted was to give his boys the very best life. He had serious work ethic and loved his job--never missing a day of work unless it was for his children's appointments. He has many trophies related to his black belt in Tae Kwon Do, loved Ramen noodles with red pepper flakes, and loved watching Chopped with his Mom and sister, Anndria.

His family asks that he be remembered for his love and devotion for his boys, love for his family, music, and his award-winning smile and laugh.

In Tanner's memory, we are raising money to continue to pour into these beautiful kids. Your financial contribution will help the transition in life that the children are facing. Any additional funds will be added to a trust that will be established for them in the future for educational expenses.

His funeral service will be a private family service. A celebration of Tanners life will be at a later date this Summer.
