Tamera “Tink” S. Brake, 74, formerly of Wawasee, IN passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026 at East Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Tink was born on August 6, 1952 in Robinson, IL to the late Frank B. Chamberlin and Iris (Rabold) Chamberlin.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Tink is survived by her daughter, Lisa Brake of Elkhart; siblings, Pam Meyers of Syracuse, IN; Dan (Chris) Chamberlin of Elkhart and Tad (Sue) Chamberlin of North Webster, IN; grandchildren, Malik, Micah and Malakai; great grandchildren, Analiyah and one on the way; several nieces and nephews and longtime best friend, Charlie Doyle.

Tink graduated from Wawasee High School and attended Anderson College earning an associate’s degree. She grew into a strong, resilient woman who always maintained a delightfully mischievous side.

Once a devoted church member at Wawasee Lakeside Chapel in Syracuse, Indiana. Tink dedicated much of her life to helping others. She served as a compassionate foster mother, providing a loving home to many youth in the local area.

A gifted piano player, she shared her musical talents at local churches and nursing homes.

She loved being outside, tending her beautiful flower garden, and used her sharp eye and talents for interior design to make her home welcoming to all.

Tink preferred the comfort of her own home and simple moments over dining at fine restaurants.

There will be a celebration of life memorial service for Tink at a later date.

She will be buried in Syracuse, IN at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
