ELKHART -- Susan J. Perkins, 61, of Elkhart, died at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, at Elkhart Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness.

She was born Nov. 19, 1948, in Michigan City, to John R. and Mary Anne (Baird) Williamson Jr.

Surviving are sons Jeffrey (Londy), Kevin and Jeremy Perkins, all of South Bend; daughters Heather (Daniel) Oberg of Osceola and Melissa "Mindy" (Jeremy) Johnston of South Bend; sister Nanci (Brian) Williams of Paradise Valley, Ariz.; brother Douglas (Lori) Williamson of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and four grandchildren, Blake, Braden and Noah Oberg and Alyssia Johnston.

Susan was a software systems consultant and IT project manager. She was an avid reader who enjoyed doing aerobics and spending time with family.

Graveside services were Thursday at Prairie Street Cemetery. A memorial mass will be at noon today at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1114 S. Main St., Elkhart. Father Glenn Kohrman will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be given to the church.
