BRISTOL — Sue M. Campbell, 81, of Bristol, passed away peacefully of natural causes at 4:42 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, at home.
She was born Oct. 27, 1934, in Kalamazoo, Mich., to the late Robert and Florence (Crego) Brossman.
She later married Donald E. Campbell on Aug. 14, 1955, in Cassopolis, Mich. He preceded her in death in 2008.
Surviving are her daughter, Julie Campbell of Grand Rapids, Mich.; sister Betty Fairchild of Linden, Mich.; special friend Mike Crane of Edwardsburg, Mich.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; special nieces and nephews and many friends. Not forget, her beloved gray and white long-haired tabby "Whisper."
Also preceding her in death were a son, Steven Campbell, and two brothers, Robert "Lefty" and Carl Brossman.
Sue's life will be celebrated with a visitation from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart. A private burial will follow in Shavehead Lake Cemetery in Michigan at a later date. In accordance with her wishes, Sue has been cremated.
Sue spent more than 35 years as the bookkeeper and office manager of Fred Mathias Lumber Company of Elkhart. She was a member of Women of the Moose Chapter 73 in Elkhart and Four Arts Club. She attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Elkhart. She played euchre at the Moose and she enjoyed bowling and golf. She will be best remembered as someone who loved sunshine, beaches, family and friends.
