ELKHART — Steven P. Miller, 63, of Elkhart, passed away at Elkhart General Hospital Sunday, Jan. 24, following a sudden illness.
He was born Jan. 8, 1953, to Isaac (Minerva) Miller and the late Keturah (Hershburger) Miller.
He married Janet M. (Randall) April 10, 1998 Elkhart and she survives him at home.
Also surviving are his son, Austin Miller; stepchildren Nicole (James) Adrion and Jamie Dahlbarg; and grandchildren Dallas Muehe, Blake Crist, Benjamin Askevion and Mario Rainey.
Preceding him in death were siblings Vernon Miller and Miriam Lee.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a service and burial will follow later in the week.
Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting the family with arrangements.
Steve retired from Am-Fab of Elkhart. He was Christian man who loved to work with his hands and sing karaoke. He was also a past Boy Scout scoutmaster and enjoyed volunteering for MDA and the county emergency management association. He also completely refurbished one of the railroad cars at the Elkhart Railroad Museum.
