Obituary
ELKHART — Steven L. "Steve" Smith, 52, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Elkhart General Hospital after an extended illness.
He was born Jan. 13, 1962, in Mishawaka, to Jack L. and Martha J. (Overhusler) Smith.
In addition to his mother, survivors include one daughter, Tiffany Smith; one brother, Monty Smith; one sister, Karen (Frank) Combs; former wife Terri L. Smith; three grandchildren, Rashaun Smith, Desirae Smith and Keyon Macneal, all of Elkhart; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Mark Smith.
Steve was employed in the RV manufacturing industry and delivery business for several years prior to his retirement.
He often enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, and with his grandchildren and family.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart.
