Stephanie Lynne Spratt, 50, of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly but in the comfort of her own home on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 11:49 pm following an apparent sudden illness. She was born in Elkhart on August 30, 1973 to James W. "Jim" Spratt of Petersburg, Tennessee and to Dianna (Michael) Spratt Lerner of Elkhart.

Surviving Stephanie are her sons Michael A. "Mike" (Courtney) McCord of Goshen, Clayton J."CJ" Bunch of South Bend and SSG Nathaniel "Nate" (Roxanna) McCord, Jr., US Army, who is currently assigned with elements of the 10th Mountain Division at Ft. Drum, New York; her brother Steven J. Spratt of Petersburg, her sisters Dawn R. (Ted) Shangreaux of Nashville, Tennessee, Jamie M. Tubicsak of Cassopolis, Michigan and Rachel D. (Jon) Leonard of Lewisburg, Tennessee, 8 grandchildren and a loving host of extended family and good friends.

Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart will host a brief gathering of Stephanie's family and friends on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 10am – 11 am. In accordance with Stephanie's wishes, cremation has taken place and then she will return home to be with her family.

Stephanie worked many years caring for the elderly as a certified nursing assistant for several nursing homes throughout the years. She had a great affinity for all of her grandchildren and enjoyed visiting with them whenever she could. She also like to travel and visit her extended New York relatives. She was also an avid Tennessee Titans football enthusiast and a Michael Jackson super fan.

Memorials given in Stephanie's name may go to the charity of one's choice.
