BRISTOL -- Stanley Louis "Luke" Schott, 79, of Bristol, died at 4:28 p.m. Friday (March 26, 2010) at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born to Alva and Lavinia (Osborne) Schott on April 12, 1930, in Decatur, Mich. He married Ruth E. "Peggy" Bisbee on Oct. 12, 1972 in Elkhart.
He is survived by his wife of Bristol; sons James L. and Stanley L. Schott and Kenneth Seales, all of Elkhart, Jerry L. (Debbie) Schott of Bristol and Rick Gardner of Jackson, Mich.; daughters Pamela (Dale) Litzenberg of Bristol and Penny (Richard) Majeski of Mountainview, Ark.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters Donna Germann and Lucy (Jack) Miller, both of Elkhart, Marilyn Baldwin of Decatur, Mich., Flossie Martin of Goshen and Patty (Mike) Schlabach of Bushnell, Fla.; and brothers Kenneth (Phyllis) Schott of Union, Mich., and William Schott of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by daughters Dawn Schott and Janice L. Ballge, two brothers and four sisters.
Calling will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Belmont Mennonite Church, 925 Oxford Ave., Elkhart, until the celebration service at noon with Pastor Russell Jensen of Belmont Neighborhood Fellowship officiating. Cremation will follow.
Mr. Schott worked at the former Windsor Mobil Homes in Bristol for 23 years. He enjoyed bowling and playing bingo and cards.
Billings Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Valley View Health Care or the church.
