ELKHART — Spencer Devon Martin, a newborn, passed away from natural causes on Wednesday (July 18, 2012) at 7:30 a.m., just hours after his birth at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

He was the son of Army Specialist Demetrius D. and Andrea M. (Buckley) Martin of Elkhart.

Also surviving are grandparents Jeff and Kim Buckley of Elkhart, Delores (Victor Malunga) Overton of Ft. Wayne and Michael (Aisha) Martin of South Bend; great-grandparents Mike and Connie Buckley of Elkhart, Norma Rowe, also of Elkhart, Arnetta Overton of Mishawaka and Mary Martin of South Bend; and a great-great-grandmother, Alberta Crosbie of Elkhart.

Preceding him in death were two great-grandfathers, David Rowe and the Rev. Willie C. Overton Jr.

In accordance with the family's wishes, Spencer has been cremated and a memorial service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Road, Granger, with visitation one hour prior. The Rev. Terry Coonan will officiate. Arrangements have been placed under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart.
