Shirline E. Ingles, 76, of Middlebury, was called home to be reunited with her beloved soulmate, Gerald Ingles, on Thursday, September 5, 2024. She was born in Gallia, OH on December 28, 1947, to the late Sherman and Emma (Wood) Sparks.

Along with her husband of 39 years and parents, Shirline is preceded in death by her siblings, Oakley, Stanley, and Herman Sparks, Betty Delaney, and Mary Predmore. She is survived by her daughter, Crystal (Scott) Friskney and granddaughters, Jessica, McKayla, and Breanne Friskney. Shirline also leaves behind her faithful canine companion, Angel.

Cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. There will be a private celebration of life at a later date. No services have been scheduled at this time.

Shirline was a kind, down to earth, and devoted mother and grandmother. She was a barber prior to working for various factories in the Elkhart area. Shirline knew the Lord and attended Crystal Valley Missionary Church in Middlebury.

She was very outgoing and could strike up a conversation with anyone. In her earlier years, Shirline enjoyed going on fishing trips with her family. Recently, she developed a love of painting where she could express herself through her art. Shirline will be dearly missed by her loving family.
