ELKHART — Shirley May Leslie, 79, passed away Friday, Dec. 15, 2017 at her home, surrounded with love and family.

She was born on Oct. 31, 1938 in Topeka, Indiana, to the late Amzie and Ethel (Cox) Dunithan. She married Patrick M. Leslie on June 12, 1987.

Patrick survives, as well as children, Jim Chaffee, Michael Brewer, Annette (Doug) Troyer, Elizabeth Brewer and Paulette and husband Ray; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren; and a brother Amzie Dunithan.

A sister Sharon Wise preceded her in death.

Shirley graduated from Topeka High School. She formerly worked in housekeeping at Valley View Healthcare and as a stocker at Target. She loved and raised cockatiels, enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking and doing housework. Her most precious times were with her family.

Cremation was chosen, under the care of Billings Funeral Home. Elkhart. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
