Obituary
ELKHART — Shirley Ann Kleban, 55, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at her home at 1:58 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28.
She was born June 22, 1961, in Neptune, N.J., to the late Joseph Surette and Helen (Santoriello) Fernadini of Elkhart, and later married Peter "Pete" Kleban in 1990 in Howell, N.J.
Surviving are her sisters, Susan (Ron) Cabell of Lake City, S.C., Sandy (Keenan) Burgess of Villa Rica, Ga., and Jo Anne Hollar of Elkhart. She also leaves behind her beloved toy fox terrier, Lexie.
Her step-father, Orlando Fernadini, precedes her in death.
Shirley's life will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart, with viewing beginning at noon. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place following the services.
Shirley worked as a manager for 7-11 for many years. Very social and outspoken, Shirley didn't know a stranger and simply loved the chance at helping others.
Memorials may be given to the Humane Society of Elkhart County. The Billings Funeral home is honored to celebrate Shirley's life with family and friends.
