She was born Dec. 29, 1931, in Elkhart to Jay and Ruth (Berkey) Matthews.

She is survived by one daughter, Vicki (Steve) Hart of Elkhart; one son, Erick A. (Tracy Maurer) Jones of Elkhart; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Cam (Paul) Trampke of Bloomfield, Mich.; and one brother, Bill (Vicki) Holdeman of Bloomington.

There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Cremation will take place. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Jones was a 1950 graduate of Elkhart High School and a member of Beta Sigma Phi. She did accounting and bookkeeping for several Elkhart area businesses for many years. She enjoyed shopping, spending time with her family and cat and walking in the botanical gardens on North Main Street in Elkhart.
