Sherryl Kathleen (Hostetter) VanNoty, 90, of Elkhart, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the home she shared with her great grandson, Logan Bussard. She was born on September 25, 1934, in Elkhart, to the late Charles and Iva (Forker) Hostetter.

Sherryl is survived by her children, Carol Lee (Redman-Bussard) Stack (Ronald) of Elkhart, Duke "Byron Kent" Redman of Hudson, and Tami (Randy) Redman-Strayley of Hudson; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; brother, Tom (Jackie) Hostetter of Middlebury; sister, Marilyn Fair of Vandalia, MI; and a loving host of extended family, friends, and acquaintances.

In addition to her parents, Sherryl was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been entrusted with her cremation arrangements.

Sherryl was employed as a school bus driver for Prairie Heights Community School Corporation in LaGrange and as a transporter of organ transplant and dialysis patients for Ambulatory Renal Services in Anderson, where she retired from after 13 years of service.

In her spare time, Sherryl was a devoted baker and cake decorator. She operated a small bakery with her boyfriend, Clayton, donating baked goods to the Ft. Wayne Police Department, and enjoyed baking Christmas cookies with her family every year. Sherryl's top priority was making sure everyone around her was well-fed and happy, always bringing joy to her heart as she was helping others. However, when she wasn't baking, she enjoyed the art of ceramics, creating many pieces of work that her family will cherish for a lifetime.

Sherryl will best be remembered as a selfless, giving, sweet, and kind soul who put others first and never expected anything in return. She, along with all the love and joy she shared, will be dearly missed by those whose hearts she touched throughout her life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made in Sherryl's honor can be directed to the Humane Society of Elkhart County, 54687 Co Rd 19, Bristol, IN 46507.
