Sherry Diane Myers, 92, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday morning, June 9, 2021 at Greenleaf Healthcare Campus. Sherry was born on January 2, 1929, in Goshen, Indiana to the late Verne C. and Marion (Myers) Michael. She married Kenneth R. Myers on November 12, 1947 in Goshen. Kenneth passed away on May 8, 2007, after 59 years of marriage. They were blessed with three daughters, Sandy L. (Craig) Badman, Wendy K. Stevens and Sally A. Halker; two grandsons, 1 great granddaughter, three step grandchildren and 7 step-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband Kenneth, two son-in-laws Jeff Stevens, Michael Halker and her brother Neil J. Michael preceded her in death.

Sherry worked as an accounting clerk for Erick Brand, Inc. and retired from EK Blessing Company at the age of 81. She was a 1946 graduate of Elkhart High School and was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church for many years. Sherry and Kenneth lived in the house they built on N. Michigan Street together since 1950. Sherry was a voracious reader and longtime member of the Double Day Book Club, she also enjoyed all board games and playing pinochle.

Services celebrating the life of Sherry D. Myers will begin at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2021, with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. until service time at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart. Pastor Jeremy Sarber will officiate. Sherry will be laid to rest next to Kenneth at Rice Cemetery.
