Sherry LaVon Moore, 86, of Elkhart, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Elkhart on November 15, 1938, to the late Arthur L.  and Fern E. (Mast) Fruchey.

Sherry is also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Eugene Moore; brothers, Larry and John Fruchey; sister, Beverly King; and faithful canine companion, Gizzy. She is survived by her daughters, Traci Bickel and Shawn Moore; grandson, Evan Bickel; and sister, Illene Cripps.

In accordance with Sherry's wishes, cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 10 to noon at Dunlap United Methodist Church, 23674 US-33, Elkhart, IN 46517. A service will follow at noon with Rev. Melissa Englehart. Memorial donations may be given to Dunlap United Methodist Church, where she was a member there with Larry for many years, and to the Center for Hospice Care, 501 Comfort Pl, Mishawaka, IN 46545.

Sherry was a kind and intelligent woman who never met a stranger. She graduated from Concord High School. Sherry worked as an X-Ray Technician for 43 years at Elkhart Clinic and was certified in mammography and bone density scanning. Sherry enjoyed meeting many new people along the way. She enjoyed mentoring children at Concord East Side School in her retirement. Larry and Sherry both enjoyed learning to play the Organ and played in nursing homes for the residents. They made many dear friends along the way.

She loved all animals and enjoyed planting flowers in her garden, as she saw the first signs of Spring. She will be dearly missed by her loving family, her church family, and all the lives she touched with her kindness over the years.
