ELKHART — Sherri L. Lockhart, 47, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at 6:02 p.m. at Elkhart General Hospital with her family at her side after an extended illness.
She was born Jan. 9, 1965, to Douglas D. and Kaaren (Langwick) in Kingston, N.Y. She married James D. Lockhart on July 5, 1996, in Sand Point, Idaho. He survives at home.
Also surviving are her children, Micheal A. Lockhart, at home, and Heather R. (Aaron Woods) Duncan of Ardmore, Okla.; sister Robyn L. (Mike) Mitchell of Orlando, Fla.; brother Wayne D. (Amie) Wootten of Merced, Calif.; her father, Douglas l. Wootten of Chowchilla, Calif.; and a grandson, Brayden Woods. Her mother Kaaren preceded her in death.
No services have been planned and cremation is to take place. Billings Funeral Home and Altera Cremation Services are assisting the family with the arrangements. Condolences may reach the family by visiting their website.
Sherri was a homemaker and enjoyed playing Farmville and spending time with her two dogs, her cat and her fish.
