Sherman H. Betts, 78, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation in Elkhart on Tuesday, Mar. 26, 2019. He had been in ill health.

He was born in Meadeville, PA on Nov. 18, 1940 to the late Arden and Cora Betts.

Surviving are children Diana (William Christie, Sr.) Betts, Tina Marie Buckley and Earl and Sherrman Betts, Jr.; grandchildren Donny Betts, Amber Hoover, Jennifer Abell and Dokota and William Christie, Jr. and 18 great grandchildren.

In accordance with his family's wishes, no immediate services have been scheduled and cremation is to take place. Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart have been assisting the family with arrangements.

Sherman worked in the RV transport industry.
