Sheila Lynn (Floyd) Johnson, 73, of Elkhart, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024, at home surrounded by loving family. She was born on July 15, 1951, in New Castle, IN, to the late John and Hester (Morgan) Floyd. On April 1, 2007, Sheila married the love of her life, Larry W. Johnson, in Elkhart.

Sheila is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Larry; daughters, Lisa Adkins, and Bev Jones; grandchildren, Bobby (Erin) Adkins, Bryon (Stephanie) McCarty, Samantha (Nick) Schall, Victoria (Jason) Folkner, and Preston (Sierra) Adkins; great-grandchildren, Landon, Liam, Lucian, Christian, Olivia, Salem, Parker, Eli, Madison, and Ellie; siblings, Scott and Jeanie; caregiver and friend, Judy Hemminger; and a loving host of extended family, friends, and acquaintances.

In addition to her parents, Sheila was preceded in death by her son, Chris Adkins.

In accordance with Sheila's wishes, cremation has been chosen. Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.

Sheila owned and operated JD's Watering Hole in Elkhart for over 28 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching and attending NASCAR races, supporting her beloved Notre Dame and Dallas Cowboys football teams, and listening to Elvis, whom she adored. Sheila could also always be found with a nice ice-cold beer in hand, relaxing after a day of work and fun.

Sheila will best be remembered as a loving, selfless, yet feisty lady who loved her family and friends fiercely. She, along with all the love and joy she shared, will be dearly missed by those whose hearts she touched throughout her life.
