ELKHART -- Sharon L. Wagner, 68, of Elkhart, passed away at 9:45 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at Elkhart General Hospital, after a brief illness.

She was born Dec. 31, 1941, in Mishawaka to Kenneth Russell and Alberta Ruth (Wagner) Imus. On Feb. 14, 1998, she married Don W. Wagner in Elkhart. He survives.

Additional survivors include two stepsons, Donald A. (Lisa) Wagner of Elkhart and Chris (Charlotte) Wagner of Huntington; four brothers, Bob (Carolyn) Raber of Indianapolis, Ron (Linda) Imus and Gene Imus, both of Vandalia, Mich., and Paul (Cindy) Quire of Glendale, Ariz.; five stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Imus.

Sharon was a graduate of Jimtown High School class of 1961. She had worked as a mobile home transportation escort and was later employed at Foam Craft for several years. Sharon loved to square dance and was a member of the Sunshine Twirlers. She enjoyed cooking, reading books and caring for her "furry friends."

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service on Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, also at Billings Funeral Home. Pastor Tim Fisher with Crossroads Community Church will officiate. Entombment will follow in Rice Cemetery .
