ELKHART — Sharon "Puddin" Starks, 58, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Elkhart, after an extended illness.
She was born Aug. 21, 1955, in Elkhart to the late Jesse and Marguerite (Miles) McFarley.
Survivors include a son, Rafael (Desiree) Starks, daughter Shamirah J. Starks and granddaughter Audrinah J. Starks, all of Elkhart; two sisters, Margaret (Ernest) Harris of Elkhart and Brenda Owens of South Bend; two brothers, Fred (Shirley) McFarley and Richard McFarley, both of Elkhart; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sharon was previously employed with CTS for several years. She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church.
A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at Canaan Baptist Church, 933 Fieldhouse Ave., Elkhart. Pastor Michael Carpenter will officiate. Cremation will take place at Altera Cremation Services.
Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is entrusted with arrangements.
