Sharon J. Whitehead (Schalliol), 65, of Elkhart, formerly of Rockville, IN, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Elkhart on April 4, 1954 to the late Donald Schalliol and Joanne (Griggs) Schneider, who survives.

She is also survived by her children; Cheri (Scott) Kauffman, Patricia (Joseph) Lese, Dwayne Bennett, and Tory Bennett; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and brother, Billy (Kim) Schalliol. She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Daniel Schneider; sister, Karen Schaffer; and stepfather, Dan Schneider.

A visitation will take place on Monday, August 19, 2019, from 4-6 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 6 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Cremation will take place at a later date along with an inurnment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at a later time. Memorial donations may be given to Make-A-Wish-Foundation, 1702 E. Highland Ave, Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ 85016.

Sharon worked for PS Products and D&W for several years. She loved to go bowling, especially with her mother. Sharon owned her own race car and loved to go down to the racetrack. She enjoyed football and her favorite teams included Notre Dame and the Indianapolis Colts. She also loved to relax for a while by going for a walk in the park or getting her nails and hair done. However, Sharon loved her family most of all. She will be missed greatly by her loving family and friends.
