Sharon Diane (Pettit) Hicks, 77, of Elkhart, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at home surrounded by loving family. She was born on January 8, 1947, in Elkhart, to the late Homer and Delores (Quick) Pettit.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Timothy Hicks; son, Jeffrey (Anna) and Eric Hicks; grandchild, Banji Hicks; siblings, Robert and Judy Pettit; sisters-in-law, Vicky Hicks, Rebecca Price, and Peggy Pettit; close friends of 50 years, Pat and Tom Shupping; beloved dog, Stella; and a loving host of extended family, friends, and acquaintances.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her brothers, Homer Jr., Jerry, and Wayne Pettit.

In accordance with Sharon's wishes, cremation has been chosen and a celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been entrusted with her cremation arrangements.

Sharon was employed as a waitress, working for Michael's, Fly Trap, Dantini's, and Dino's restaurants over many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting wreaths, reading romance novels, cooking and baking, and visiting the Outer Banks with Tim and their friends, Pat and Tom.

Sharon will best be remembered as a strong-willed, dependable lady who adored her friends and family. She, along with all the love and joy she shared, will be dearly missed by those whose hearts she touched throughout her life.
