Sharon A. Edsall, 81, formerly of South Bend, passed away after battling an extended illness on Thursday, November 23, 2023 after a brief stay at Greenleaf Health Center.

Sharon was born in South Bend, IN on October 18, 1942 to the late, August J. and Rose (Desaro) Dattilo. She married the love of her life, Richard Edsall in Elkhart.

She is preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Dattilo and Anna Rose Johnson. Sharon is survived by her husband, Richard; daughter, Julie Edsall; son, Rick (Rosa) Edsall, all of Elkhart; and grandchildren, Kayla, Gael and Refugio.

Sharon grew up in South Bend and graduated from South Bend Riley High School. She was employed at EMCO Insurance and later Riverview Elementary School. Sharon appreciated nature, especially flowers, and was also an avid reader. She enjoyed watching the news and Shirley Temple on tv. In her younger days, Sharon collected vinyl 45's and listened to Debbie Reynolds. Most of all, Sharon enjoyed spending time with her family, which meant the world to her.

There will be a memorial service at a later date. Per the family's wishes, she will be cremated.
