ELKHART -- Sharon E. Clark, 68, of Elkhart, died at 12:15 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 17, 2009) in the emergency room of Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend, apparently of a heart attack.

She was born March 4, 1941, in Elkhart to Paul Allen and Eloise "Judy" Madonna (Millisor) Carter.

Ms. Clark is survived by one daughter, Debbie Gallagher of Farmington, N.M.; one son, Todd A. Gentzhorn of Elkhart; one grandson; and one sister, Janice K. (Philip) Atkinson of Osceola.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Jon A. Carter.

Mrs. Clark was a 1959 graduate of Elkhart High School. She retired as a production worker at CTS after more than 30 years. After retirement, she cooked for others, spent time with her family, went to luncheons and played cards with friends. She was an avid animal lover.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, with one hour of visitation prior to the service, at the funeral home. The Rev. Bill Brouwers will officiate. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
