ELKHART -- Shane Ryan Miller, 19, of 23067 Scottswood Court, died at 3:07 a.m. Friday (July 7, 2006) in Elkhart General Hospital, after a brief illness.

He was born Feb. 9, 1987, in Elkhart, to David B. and Lorinda K. (Weber) Miller, who survive in Elkhart, along with one brother, Brett Miller of Elkhart; his grandparents, Leah Borntreger of Elkhart and Charles and Marilyn Weber of Goshen; and his stepgrandmother, Barbara Miller of Elkhart.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the 1 p.m. Monday funeral service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Mark Waltz and Pastor Ed Villalba of Granger Community Church will officiate. Burial will be in Little Pine Cemetery.

Mr. Miller was a 2005 graduate of Elkhart Central High School and graduated on June 23, 2006, from Wyotech in Pennsylvania with an associate's degree in automobile technology. This week, he was going to start work at Angel Automotive in Elkhart, but became ill before starting. He was ASE-certified after passing five designated tests and was proud of his 94 percent grade average while at Wyotech.
