Scott Kevin Tackman, 59, of Elkhart, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Elkhart General Hospital.

Scott was born on August 17, 1961 to Walter and Charlene (Kaczmierski) Tackman in Bay City, MI.

Scott is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kevin on August 27, 2009.

Scott was a stocker at ABC Warehouse and recently at Stair Supplies in Elkhart. He was a dear friend and supporter to many in Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. Scott was an outdoorsman who fished for blue gill and bass as well as hunted. He enjoyed exercising especially walking and biking. Scott is an avid reader, listened to contemporary gospel music and watched game shows. Most of all, Scott was a great friend.

Scott is survived by his nephew and niece, Alexander Tackman of Goshen and Sarah Tackman of Syracuse, IN and his many friends.

A Memorial Service for Scott will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at 4:00 pm in Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 with Pastor Jeremy Sarber officiating. A Gathering will be held 1hour prior to the service from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
