ELKHART: Scott L. Dygert, 54, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at his home. He was born on July 15, 1964 in Elkhart to Jim L. Dygert and Gail (Deisenroth) Ramler. Surviving are his father Jim L. (Jann) Dygert, mother Gail Ramler; two brothers, Bryan (Lori) Dygert, Todd (Mary) Dygert; 4 nieces, 4 nephews and 3 great nieces. Scott was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Dygert and his faithful long haired German shepherd Alexis. Scott was a 1983 graduate of Elkhart Central High School. He worked the recreational vehicle industry for most of his life. Scott enjoyed fishing and was an avid animal lover, feeding and taking care of the wildlife around his home.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1-3 pm., Saturday, August 25, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart. In honoring Scott's wishes, cremation was chosen.
