Obituary
Sara Kathryn Bontrager, 77, of Elkhart, passed away at Golden Living Center of Mishawaka on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at 12:15 pm.
She was born on Aug. 3, 1937 in Eagle Lake Station, KY to the late William Luther and Nannie B. Welch.
Surviving are her children Keith (Pamela) Bontrager of Indianapolis, Tammy (Richard) Barna of St. Petersburg, FL, Gary Bontrager of Elkhart, Ramona (Bill) Craypo of Laporte; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Both her parents and five sisters precede her in death.
In accordance with her wishes, Sara is to be cremated and a memorial will take place at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart on Friday, May 29, 2015, with visitation beginning at 5:00 pm followed by a service at 7:00 pm.
Sara worked many years at Elkhart's old Osco Drug Store and Martin's Supermarket and Elkhart's New York Central Railroad Museum through the help of National Able Network, a job placement program for seniors.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to National Able Network.
