UPDATE: Graveside Services for Sandie will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in the Liberty Garden (first left off the McKinley Avenue Entrance).

Sandra Kay "Sandie" (Squires) Holt, 73, residing in Osceola, passed away Wednesday evening, April 21, 2021 at the Elkhart Center for Hospice Care, surrounded by love and family. Sandie as she was known to family and friends, was born in Mishawaka on March 24, 1948, a daughter of the late Warren and Margaret (Silvius) Squires. In addition to her parents, a grandson Eli Thomas Scott and her brother Rex Squires preceded Sandie in death.

Surviving is her loving daughter Sabrina M. (Phil) Scott and her grandson Cody Scott, also a son Phillip (Marie Schautz) Holt, and her lifetime companion and best friend of 33 years, Woody Fletcher.

Sandie worked mostly as a supervisor at various wood shops including Chemcraft, American Millwork and Nickell Moulding.

Sandie loved to be outside where she enjoyed gardening and enjoyed watching her own flowers grow, as well as the variety of birds at the many bird feeders in the yard.  She was an avid animal lover, especially of horses, having owned, rode (bareback of course) and loved them. Her home and family brought the most joy to her and from 2-3 was her favorite hour of the day when Days of Our Lives was on.

Per Sandie's wishes, cremation was chosen under the care of Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart. Memorials can go to the Center for Hospice Care-Elkhart County.
