Obituary
ELKHART — Sandra Arlene Burns, 70, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, May 5, at Elkhart Hospice House.
She was born Dec. 21, 1943, in Elkhart to Ivan and Pat (Beatty) Walmer.

Survivors include one son, Donald (Michelle) Jarrett of Middlebury; one daughter, Lorene (Barton) Jarrett of Elkhart; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husbands, Paul Jarrett and John Burns; sister Donnette Johns; and two brothers, Richard Beatty and Joe Mast.
Sandra was the previous owner and operator of the Hair Barn and later worked at the YMCA in Elkhart.
She was a member of the DAV Chapter 19 Women's Auxiliary and the American Legion Post 143.
A gathering of family and friends will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at DAV Chapter 19, 1205 Middleton Run Road, Elkhart, in remembrance of Sandra.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is entrusted with arrangements.
