ELKHART — Samuel J. Bouman, 50, was found passed away of natural causes in his Elkhart home Tuesday, March 6, 2012.
He was born Mar. 18, 1961, in Zeeland, Mich., to Gordon W. and Carolyn R. (Dalman) Bouman.
Surviving are his children, Autumn N. and Jacob S. "Jake" Bouman, and a stepdaughter, Melissa M. Stokely, all of Mishawaka; sisters Susan (Mark) Kellner of Florida and Lynda (Arvin "Mike") Michael of Muncie; brothers Jack (Mindy) Bouman of Glen Rock, Pa., and Daniel Bouman of British Columbia, Canada; his mother, Carolyn R. Baker of Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren; and his former spouse, Rosemarie A. Bouman of Mishawaka.
His father precedes him in death.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, March 9, 2012, with a service at 8 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home. Sam's brother, Jack, will officiate. Cremation will follow with burial taking place in Pleasant View Cemetery in Warsaw at a later date.
Sam worked at Utilimaster in Wakarusa for 15 years and the loves of his life included his children, music, ice hockey, the Blackhawks and the Cubs.
