She was born Dec. 1, 1927, in Columbus, Ohio, to Charles E. and Augusta (Davis) Tarbox. She married Allan Winkle. He died in 1991.

She is survived by two daughters, Kim (Douglas) Kiser of Goshen and Marsha (David) Walter of Bakersfield, Calif.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Wicham; and one brother, Charles Tarbox.

A celebration of Mrs. Winkle's life will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Brightwater Methodist Church in Rogers, Ark. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., assisted with local arrangements.

Mrs. Winkle was a graduate of Hilliard High School in Ohio. She had worked for a bank in Florida. She was proud of being a homemaker and taking care of her family.
