Obituary
ELKHART — Ruth Doss, 88, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, Feb. 17, at Golden Living Center.
She was born July 18, 1925, in Hughes, Ark., to the late Virgil and Mamie (Thomas) Doss.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Nevada Griffin; a son, Abraham MacDoo; and brothers Bennie, Virgil and Barnett Doss preceded Ruth in death.
Surviving are a daughter, Mamie E. Harris; 16 grandchildren, William, Tony, Cornelius (wife Veronica), Ernie, Christopher, Iisha, Sandra, Annette, Michelle, Mamie, Sara, Mary, Samantha, Ruth Ann, Sharonda and Danky; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy (Johnnie Mae) Doss; sister Annie (Leo) Twilley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Ruth was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking, sewing and playing cards.
In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place.
A memorial gathering will be planned at a future date. Burial will be in Little Pine Cemetery, Goshen.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart.
