Russell "Russ" E. Gullett, 86, of Elkhart, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Hubbard Hill Living Wisdom Community.

Russell was born on April 18, 1934 to the late Albert and M'ozelle Gullett. He was married for 65 years to the love of his life, Virginia (Rust) Gullet. She passed away on April 6, 2020. Russell is preceded in death by his wife and parents.

Russ is survived by his sons, Douglas (Patricia) Gullett of Bristol, Kenneth (Denise) Gullett of Edwardsburg; grandchildren, Shannon Gullett, Heather (Laway) Ek, Travis Gullett and Chelsea (Mike) Scapino; and great grandchildren, Alexis, Gianni, Ellie, Madie, Hadley, Evie, Emma and Adalyn.

Russell honorably served his country in the US Army. He was a machinist at Bayer for 50 years retiring in 2005. Russ garnered many awards for his innovative products while at Bayer. He was a member of Willowdale Church of Christ. Russ enjoyed gardening. He was a handyman who loved construction (building the family home). Most of all, Russ was a family man and he will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service for Russell will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514. Visitation will be 1 hour prior from 10:00 am -11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial with full military honors with D.A.V. Chapter 19 will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
