Ruby Lee (Pitts) Franklin Valle, also lovingly known as "Little Dugan", 86, of Elkhart, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born on June 23, 1937, in Dadeville, AL, to the late J.W. and Jewell (Rape) Pitts.

Ruby is survived by her loving daughter, Dawn (Joe) Egenlauf; grandchildren, Frank, Joey, Wesley, and Jewell; great grandchildren, Lucas, Spencer, Joey, Ryker, Scarlett, Saint, and Ollie; sister, Sandra (Tom) Suchala; stepsons, Angelo Jr. and Ricky Valle; and a loving host of extended family, friends, and acquaintances.

Ruby was preceded in death by her loving husband, Angelo Valle, Sr.; former spouse and father to her children, Daniel Franklin; sons, Danny and David Franklin; parents; and siblings, Cubby, Sunny, Jimmie, and Marcy.

In accordance with Ruby's wishes, cremation has been chosen and the family will hold a celebration of life at a later date. Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting the family with arrangements.

In 1972, Ruby married the love of her life, Angelo, in Chicago, IL, where the couple and her family grew up. During her life, Ruby enjoyed being a homemaker, always having the heart to open her home to her family, friends, and even those in need. She could always be found making many family memories with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, leaving a lasting impact on the hearts of her loved ones to cherish forever.

Ruby will best be remembered as a loving, generous, spunky, and social soul who had never met a stranger. She, along with all the love and joy she shared, will be dearly missed by those whose hearts she touched throughout her life.
