ELKHART — Ruby Annette "Ann" Healey, 71, of Elkhart, passed away Friday morning, Aug. 16, 2013, at Wesley Healthcare in Auburn, after an extended illness.
Ann was born in Bay, Ark., on July 30, 1942, to the late Lloyd and Lucille (Bankston) Taber.
She married Jerry L. Healey Sr. on Feb. 11, 1961, in Osceola.
He survives, as well as their sons, Jerry L. Healey Jr. and his wife, Tina of Elkhart; Chris D. Healey and his wife, Kimi of Bristol; and her granddaughter, Jessica Ann Healey of Elkhart. Also surviving are sisters, Donna Taber of Mishawaka and Jean Geske and her husband, Ernie of Granger; brothers Danny Taber and his wife, Cathy of Elkhart and Dave Taber of Mishawaka; and a nephew, Michael Taber of Las Vegas.
Ann worked in sales as a floor-covering specialist for many area companies, including LaSalle-Deitch, Shelter Components, Garber's Interior Design, Horizon Flooring and Collins & Co.
Ann's greatest joy was being a homemaker and taking care of her loving family.
On Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, family, friends and others whose lives Ann touched are invited for a time of sharing from 2 to 4 p.m. In honoring Ann's wishes, cremation was chosen.
