ELKHART — Roy Clay Huffman, 74, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, Oct. 24.
He was born May 25, 1941, in Elkhart, to Robert and Gertrude (Anderson) Huffman.
Survivors include his companion of 20 years, Pat Severns of Elkhart; two daughters, Melissa Bragg of Elkhart and Donna (Rick) Hurley of Mishawaka; one son, Russell Clay Huffman of Elkhart; one brother, Richard (Jenny) Huffman of Elkhart; four sisters, Mary (Bob) Allen of Edwardsburg, Mich., and Barbara Waterman, Connie Christy and Vicky Huffman, all of Elkhart; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Vincent, and three brothers, Frank, Robert and Jack Huffman.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1962. Roy was employed at Conn-Selmer for 20 years prior to his retirement in 2005. He was a lifetime member of Elkhart DAV 19.
The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, funeral service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Tim Liechty will officiate. Cremation will follow at Altera Cremation Services.
