Obituary

ELKHART — Rose Ann Rink, 83, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday, Aug. 1, at Elkhart Hospice.

Rose was born July 31, 1932, in Warsaw, to the late T. Leonard and Fairy L. (Grosvenor) Wolf. Her family moved to Elkhart in 1937.

She met Donald Ray Rink while working at Workinger Electric in Elkhart. They were married Feb. 17, 1967, in Elkhart. Donald passed away April 14, 2006.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, J. Warren Howley, brother Carl Wolf and sister Virginia Laughman.

Rose is survived by a niece, Penny Ann (Tom) Pontius of Edwardsburg, Mich.; nephews Larry (Jan) Leininger, James R. (Shelley) Laughman and Jeffrey A. Laughman, all of Elkhart, and Carl (Judy) Wolf of Osceola; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Besides Workinger Electric, Rose also worked at Shaum Electric Co., the Concord Township Assessors Office, C.G. Conn and Elkhart Supply Co. She was a member of DAV 19 Ladies Auxiliary and the Goshen VFW. She loved animals, card games and fishing.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Burial will be private in Prairie Street Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the Center for Hospice Care.
