Rosalind M. "Lollie" Varanelli, 87 of Elkhart, Indiana, was called home to be with our Lord on Friday November 25, 2022, at East Lake Nursing in Elkhart with family by her side.

Rosalind was born in Elkhart, on July 6, 1935, to the late Robert and Frances (Poultney) Gause.

Rosalind was preceded in death by her husband John L "Big John" Varanelli on March 2, 2005

She is survived by her children, Michelle Whitmyer, Diane Weirich, and John R (Linda) Varanelli.

Rosalind was also blessed with 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren.

Rosalind is also survived by her sister Elaine Orso of Salem NH. along with two nieces and two nephews, Lynn (Michael) Fletcher, John (deceased) Roberta Page and Glen (Diana.) Orso

Rosalind and her late husband John owned and operated Big Johns Bar and Restaurant in Elkhart, Indiana. From 1963 until 1987, when her son Little John took it over.

Rosalind was a loving and caring woman, who also enjoyed cooking, being with her family, spending time with her grandchildren, and watching the Cubs.

She will be greatly missed by all.

Rosalind was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church on C.R. 6 in Elkhart.

In accordance with Rosalind's wishes, cremation was chosen and there will be no funeral or memorial service held.
