ELKHART -- Rosalind M. "Rose" Clark, 85, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday morning (July 7, 2010) at her home.

She was born on Nov. 15, 1924, in Miami County, to the late Leonard and Elsie (Mohr) Overman. She married Vonalee M. "Von" Clark on Nov. 27, 1949, in Amboy. He died April 27, 2003, in Elkhart.

She is survived by six daughters, Mary L. (Steven) Filbert and Janette A. (Ralph) Ziebart, both of South Bend, and Carol S. (Thomas) Messick, Kathy M. Ready, Norma J. (Donald) Nyerges and Betty L. (Timothy) Lung, all of Elkhart. Surviving as well are 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and brother Darl (June) Overman of Amboy.

Rose was preceded in death by son Donald Clark; an infant daughter; two grandchildren, Brett and Mary Filbert; brother Lee Overman; sister Martha Douglass; and son-in-law Joseph Ready.

Rosalind worked as a clerk and in shipping and receiving at the Kmart store in Dunlap for 25 years. Rose was a 1943 graduate of North Grove High School and was a member of Amboy Friends Church and the Elkhart Dahlia Society. She loved to watch "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune" and also enjoyed sewing, working crossword puzzles and word games.

Please join with her family and friends on Sunday, July 11, 2010, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. There will also be calling for one hour prior to the funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, July 12, 2010, at Amboy Friends Church. The Rev. Dwight Elliott of the church will officiate. Burial will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery, Amboy .

Preferred memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
